Al-Safadi and Al Saud Discuss Efforts to De-escalate Tensions and Contain Crises in the Region

Al-Taj News – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi held a telephone call on Saturday with His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Al-Safadi and Al Saud discussed developments in the region and efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions, restoring calm, containing crises, and limiting their negative repercussions and consequences for regional and international security.

They affirmed the continuation of coordination and joint consultations regarding current challenges, in a manner that contributes to enhancing the security of the countries of the region and safeguarding the interests of their peoples. They also affirmed the solidarity of the two kingdoms in confronting anything that could undermine their security and stability.

Al-Safadi reiterated Jordan’s condemnation of the attacks by the Houthi terrorist militia against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Jordan’s full support for and solidarity with Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to protect its security, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens and residents.
